Program Overview
Therapeutic Mentoring
Ages 13–18
Connecticut
Strength-Based
C.H.A.M.P.S. serves young men aged 13–18 in Connecticut who are involved in the Juvenile Justice System, Child Welfare System, or have a history of trauma or system involvement. Our mission is to provide healthy and positive relationships to our mentees while giving them clinical and life skills that will benefit them in every aspect of their lives.
The program is built around accountability, motivation, performance, and skills — helping youth strengthen their decision-making, confidence, resilience, and sense of direction.
How We Support Youth
C.H.A.M.P.S. uses a culturally responsive and strength-based approach to meet young people where they are and help them move forward. The program is informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles from initial engagement and focuses on building practical tools youth can use in everyday life.
