Success Stories From Our Youth

Since day 1 between meeting someone I will call big bro for the rest of my life being a good replacement, role model since my brother passed away. I feel like Trel taught me things that will help me into my manhood. Being able to rely upon myself. He's the first person too always check up hit me up if something is going on with me if it's injury or if I'm going through something personally, he's always there for me. I feel like he's that piece that I needed & someone too look up too ❤️.

What I think about this program is that it helps young brothers out a lot. It's like a place where you can get away from the violence, where you can try start a better life. The program shows you love, trust and its brotherly bond. I would recommend any young brothers who are in the streets or not to join this program. The program also helped me to never give up and that there's always a second chance. When I tore my ACL; my mentor was there for me every step of the way really showing me that Mentors will always be there for you no matter what you need.

I met Trel when I was about 15, I was at a low time of my life where I was falling into a lot of foolish decisions. You know, I had a simple teenage mindset about life in general. Trel has heavily impacted my life and inspired me to not only grow up a bit, but become the man that yes I deserve to be ,but also a man that can influence others to do the same for themselves. Thank you Trel🙏🏾

Zhyere - 15
My name is Zhyere and I'm 15, but I came into this program at 13. This program has helped me evolve becoming a more successful black young male as it helped opened my eyes and not be influenced by bad individuals and become more independent. Also, this program has helped me learn more about the history of my people and how we are viewed and showing why we must work extra hard to become more successful. This program also helped me get through my first year of high school as it was tough, but the program helped me mange things in my life.

Amari - 18
My name is Amari, I was around 11 or 12 when I first got into Daniel's Company. It was very hard back then for me. I had a lot going on at a young age, but Trel was always there for me, and I really mean always.

I used to ignore Trel sometimes and he still was there for me, making sure that I'm okay and making sure I ain't putting myself in bad situations.

Trel will literally put us before him and what I mean by that is making sure we're okay more than him. He treats us like his brothers. He jokes around with us on our worst days, and he make sure we're not in a low space. Even if you're in the hospital due to being sick or injured, he comes to visit just to make sure we're okay.

He also takes us around to see and try new things. My Mentor also takes us to the gym so we can cope in healthy environments and help us to see that smoking is not the only way to cope and get through trauma. I feel like that helped me a lot frl because I ain't the same person I was before I wouldn't be sitting here right now righting this if it wasn't for big bro. Trel also makes sure his youth is not just friends but more like a brotherhood.

Abdul - 15
My name is Abdul (Dully). I joined the program when I was 14 and I am now 15. Since joining, the program has had a great positive impact on me. It's helped me stay focused, make better decisions, and given me guidance when I needed it. I've learned how to handle situations more maturely and feel more confident about my future. I appreciate all the support and mentorship I've received.
